The men’s Topo Athletic Ultrafly 4 is the increasingly popular lower drop (5mm) cushioned road running shoe that provides some very unobtrusive mild support for overpronation. The wide toe box found in the Ultrafly 4 and all Topo Athletic running shoes allows your toes and feet to spread more naturally, allowing them to function much better on landing and takeoff. If your toes are squashed into the end of a running shoe you will struggle to generate a more powerful takeoff.

The Zip Foam in the men’s Ultrafly 4 has plenty of energy return and was designed as an improvement over EVA midsoles, which over time can lose their rebound. As a result, the light and nimble Ultrafly 4 will feel better when moving quickly and retain it’s bounce over longer distances.

Why Low Drop?

A lower or zero drop running promotes a more midfoot landing, as opposed to a heel strike, which can be energy sapping and almost act as a ‘brake’ when your foot hits the floor. This also helps keep you in an upright posture. Both help improve running form.
