The women’s wide Challenger ATR 6 trail running shoe has been designed for comfortable miles on firmer trails and runs that share road and trail. Described as an all-terrain (ATR) running shoe, the women’s Challenger has shorter, durable studs than running shoes designed for wetter, muddy conditions. The cushioning level of the Challenger ATR 6 is high, to help maintain a level of comfort over even longer runs and help reduce the feel of sharp rocks and roots.

Like a women’s Hoka trail running shoes, the Challenger ATR 6 has an early stage meta rocker, which is a type of curved midsole feature that helps you move quicker by speeding up your gait cycle. In fact many customers that try the shoes on in our stores describe Hoka One One trail running shoes as “feeling fast”.

Hoka running shoes have a lower heel to forefoot drop, usually under 5mm from heel to forefoot. A lower drop has been proven to help improve posture and form by encouraging a more upright position and a more midfoot landing, rather than a more “traditional” heel strike.
